One of our favorite gigs to date, this was one for the books.
In classic Montreal fashion, it was an immediate whirl wind of debaucherous punk rock mayhem.
Started off the day after getting in from Quebec City. after a 15 minute sit down we then got right in to it, hitting the early show for the Noise Not Borders Fest.
All the bands were high energy, fast loud, d-beat, crust and hardcore punk. What an awesome time.
After that we grabbed a bite and then headed down to the Traxide to get set up.
Kicking off the night was Leash Aggression and after that was Glowing Orb, both bands got the crowd energized and had absolutly tight and powerful sets.
We were next to play and Montreal, as always, showed us why it's the Punk capital of Eastern Canada. We started our set and the pit opened up, it's what you want to see and why we do this. The whole set the crowd was full of booze and substance fueled pandamonium. We'll be back.
Ending off the night was Ottawa's street punk maniacs B.A.L.M. Squad, who played a fucking killer set and ended off the night with a cover of X-Ray Spex classic "Oh Bondage! Up Yours!" They even brought a saxophone player. Fuckin' Ripped!
A night to remember.... well, bits and pieces.
